Privacy Policy
delexif processes your images inside your browser; the image-processing code does not upload them. Cloudflare provides hosting and aggregate page analytics. Google AdSense units and a European consent message are configured, but advertising is currently disabled while the consent integration is verified. The current tool pages do not load Google advertising or consent scripts.
Who operates this site
delexif is built and operated by Claudio Cárdenas. You can reach the operator at contact@claudiocardenas.dev. More about the site and its author is on the About page and at claudiocardenas.dev.
What the tool processes locally
- Your image files. The image-processing code reads and rewrites them inside your browser tab, without an upload endpoint, server-side processing or server storage of your files.
- Accounts and forms. There are no accounts, sign-ups or forms asking for your name or email address. If you choose to email us, we receive your message as described below.
This does not mean that visiting the site involves no personal data. Hosting and analytics services process visit information; if advertising is enabled, advertising and consent services may also process it as described below.
Data stored on your device
To remember your theme between visits, the tool’s own preference code writes this entry in your browser’s local storage. Our code uses it locally and does not transmit the setting:
delexif-theme— your light/dark theme preference.
You can delete this preference by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings. This list describes the tool’s own preference storage; if advertising is enabled, Google’s advertising and consent services may also use cookies or other device storage as described below.
Hosting and server logs
The site is served from a web server behind Cloudflare’s network. Like most web servers, it keeps standard access logs: the requested address, date and time, your browser’s user agent and the connecting IP address (behind Cloudflare, normally a Cloudflare address). Access logs rotate daily when non-empty, and up to ten rotated logs are kept. They are used to keep the site running and investigate errors or abuse.
Analytics
We measure aggregate traffic with Cloudflare Web Analytics: page views, page performance, referrers, and approximate country and browser type. Cloudflare describes this service as privacy-first: it does not use cookies or local storage and does not track individual users across sites. delexif never sends it your files. Cloudflare’s own practices are described in its privacy policy.
Advertising and consent
Google AdSense is configured for the home page and individual guides, but advertising is currently disabled: those pages do not load Google advertising or consent scripts. We will enable the integration only after verifying the consent flow. Any later ad display also depends on Google’s site approval, available ads and applicable consent choices. This Privacy Policy, About, Contact, Terms, the guide index and error pages are excluded from Google advertising and consent scripts, including after activation.
If advertising is enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this or other websites. Google and its partners may use advertising cookies, other identifiers and IP addresses for ad delivery, personalization, measurement and fraud prevention. The image-processing code does not send them your files. Advertising scripts, when enabled, run in the same page as the tool: local processing describes our code, not a sandbox that isolates page data from every third-party script.
European consent message
We have published Google’s consent-management message for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. It is configured in AdSense and is intended to be deployed when the advertising integration is enabled; it is not currently loaded on the normal tool pages. Its initial choices are Consent, Do not consent and Manage options; the last option lets you review details and adjust the available choices. The tool remains usable without consenting to personalized advertising.
Once the integration is enabled, you will be able to revisit or withdraw your advertising consent through Privacy and cookie settings in the footer of the home page and individual guides when Google’s consent controls are available. To reach that control from this policy, open the delexif home page. This policy page does not load the Google advertising or consent code itself.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google’s Ads Settings.
- You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.

If you email us
If you write to contact@claudiocardenas.dev, your message is forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to a mailbox hosted by Google (Gmail). The operator uses your email address and message to reply to you, not to add you to a mailing list or use the message for advertising. You can ask for the conversation to be deleted. Cloudflare and Google handle the message under their own privacy policies.
Links to other sites
The footer links to another tool by the same operator (delsub.app), and these pages link to the operator’s website, Cloudflare and Google. When a photo contains GPS coordinates, its card offers a “view on OpenStreetMap” link with those coordinates in the address: they reach openstreetmap.org only if you click it. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.
Children
delexif is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your choices and rights
You can clear the tool’s local preferences in your browser settings and, if advertising is enabled, review advertising consent through the controls described above. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data, or to object to its processing. For requests about information handled by the operator, including server logs or emails you send, write to contact@claudiocardenas.dev. For information handled by Cloudflare or Google, please also consult their privacy pages and controls linked here.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the site changes, for example if a new service is added. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
